Taxonomy
Weeksia was named by Stephenson (1941) [Sepkoski's age data: K Camp K Maes-u Sepkoski's reference number: 2]. It is not extant. Its type is Pseudomalaxis amplificata. It is the type genus of Weeksiidae.

It was assigned to Weeksiidae by Sohl (1960); to Euomphalidae by Knight et al. (1960); and to Archaeogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002).
