Monobaatar mimicus
Taxonomy
Monobaatar mimicus was named by Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (1987). Its type specimen is Institute of Palaeontology, Academy of Sciences, Moscow PIN 3101/65, a maxilla (Fragment maxilla sin with P2-P4), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Khovboor (PIN coll. 3101) [SMPE], which is in an Aptian/Albian lacustrine sandstone/claystone in the Dzunbain Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Monobaatar.
