Busycon dasum
Taxonomy
Busycon dasum was named by Gardner (1947) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; Florida.]. Its type specimen is USNM 113618, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USGS Loc. 2238 - Flournoy's Mill [Shoal River Fm], which is in a Serravallian marine marl/sandstone in the Shoal River Formation of Florida.
It was recombined as Turrifulgur dasum by Petuch (1988).
