Acteon korphys
Taxonomy
Acteon korphys was named by Gardner (1947) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; Florida.]. Its type specimen is USNM 328398, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USGS Loc. 3419 - McClelland Farm [Chipola Fm], which is in a Burdigalian marine marl/sandstone in the Chipola Formation of Florida.
