Therioherpeton cargnini
Taxonomy
Therioherpeton cargnini was named by Bonaparte and Barberena (1975). Its type specimen is MVP 05.22.04, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Therioherpeton site, Faixa Nova, which is in a Carnian/Norian terrestrial mudstone in the Santa Maria Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Therioherpeton.
