E. Perrier 1928Langue sagittée, non échancrée en avant, couverte de plis ou de lamelles courbes. Pas de columelle; pas de septum interorbitaire, pas d'arcs temporaux. Yeux cachés sous la peau, pas d'orifice des oreilles. Corps vermiforme; écailles cycloïdes, imbriquées, sans ostéodermes. Membres antérieurs absents, les postérieurs représentés chez le mâle par 2 appendices spatuliformes très petits; pas de sternum; pas de ceinture scapulaire, ni pelvienne.
