Taxonomy
Sigaretus (Lupia) gatunensis was named by Toula (1909). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Sigaretus gatunensis by Brown and Pilsbry (1911); it was recombined as Sinum gatunense by Maury (1917), Woodring (1928) and Hendy et al. (2008).
