Taxonomy
Arcopsis (Arcopsis) caputavisensis was named by Beets (1986) [DISTRIBUTION: Neogene; Irian Jaya.]. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Vogelkop, R. 26, Klasaman Formation, New Guinea, which is in a Miocene/Pliocene marginal marine sandstone/conglomerate in the Klasaman Formation of Indonesia.
