Taxonomy
Nautilus ziczac was named by Sowerby (1812) [DISTRIBUTION: Eocene; western Europe, Australia.]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Highgate Archway, which is in a Ypresian offshore claystone in the London Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Aturia (Aturia) ziczac by Llompart (1986); it was recombined as Aturoidea ziczac by Pacaud (2010); it was recombined as Aturia ziczac by Edwards (1849), Deshayes (1865), de Gregorio (1880), Miller and Crespin (1939), Mikuz (2009), Schnetler and Heilmann-Clausen (2011).
