It was recombined as Rostellaria fissurella by Lamarck (1803) and Defrance (1827); it was recombined as Rostellaria (Rimella) fissurella by Meunier (1912); it was recombined as Tibia fissurella by Piccoli and Savazzi (1983); it was recombined as Rimella fissurella by Agassiz (1841), Pacaud and Le Renard (1995), Harzhauser (2004), Okan and Hosgor (2009) and Squires (2013).
