Mitromorpha carpenteri was named by Glibert (1954). It is extant.

Synonyms
  • Daphnella filosa was named by Carpenter (1864) [DISTRIBUTION: Recent; California, Mexico.]. It is extant.

    It was recombined as Mitromorpha filosa by Williamson (1892), Arnold (1903) and Woodring (1928); it was replaced with Mitromorpha carpenteri by Gilbert (1954) and Hendy (2021).
