Planoprosopon heydeni

Taxonomy
Planoprosopon heydeni was named by von Meyer (1857) [Wehner (1988) designated the neotype. Schweitzer et al. (2007) placed it within Planoprosopon. It was originally named as Prosopon heydeni.]. Its type specimen is Museum Tubingen, Quenstedt, Jura, a carapace, and it is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Planoprosopon.
