It was assigned to Lipotyphla by Gheerbrant (1988); and to Adapisoriculidae by Gheerbrant and Russell (1989), Gheerbrant (1995), Gheerbrant et al. (1998), López-Martínez and Peláez-Campomanes (1999), Goswami et al. (2011), De Bast et al. (2012).
