Taxonomy
Larispirifer balikelikeensis was named by Chen and Shi (2006). Its type specimen is Tohoku Univ IGPS108936 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Boguzidaliya River section, Bed 5, AET955, Baliqliq Formation, Tarim Basin, which is in a Kungurian marine limestone in the Baliqliq Formation of China.
