Taxonomy
Parastenodiscus hardmaniformis was named by Romantchuk (1981) [Geological Museum of the Soviet Far Eastern Territorial Geological Bureau]. Its type specimen is DVTGU 3M 25/11 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Babstovo, Barabash Formation, Yevreiskaya Autonomous Oblast, Khabarovsk Region, which is in a Capitanian marine horizon in the Osakhtinskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
