Titanophoneus potens
Taxonomy
Titanophoneus potens was named by Efremov (1940). Its type specimen is PIN 157/1, a skeleton (almost complete, incl. skull and lower jaws), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kamenny Ravine (Ulema River), Isheevo, PIN 157, 2207, which is in an Urzhumian/Severodvinian fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Titanophoneus.
