Nycticorax fidens
Taxonomy
Nycticorax fidens was named by Brodkorb (1963). Its type specimen is UF 3285, a limb element (complete left femur), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is McGehee Farm, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Alachua Formation of Florida.
