Juraphyllites was named by Müller (1939) [Sepkoski's age data: J Sine-l J Toar-l Sepkoski's reference number: 1066]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Phylloceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Juraphyllitidae by Blau (1998), Géczy and Meister (1998), Hillebrandt (2006), Lukeneder and Lukeneder (2018).
