Taxonomy
Neumatoceras borense was named by Kröger et al. (2009) [The name was informally given to this species by Holm in the 1890s but never published.]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is NRM-PZ Mo 161119, a shell. Its type locality is Hälludden cliff section (upper part of Gillberga Fm.), which is in a Hunderum/Valaste deep subtidal shelf wackestone in the Gillberga Formation of Sweden.
