Taxonomy
Richardsonoceras gerhardi was named by Kröger et al. (2009). It is not extant. Its type specimen is NRM-PZ Mo 158419 and Mo 158411 (two fragments comprising one individual), a shell. Its type locality is Hälludden cliff section (upper part of Gillberga Fm.), which is in a Hunderum/Valaste deep subtidal shelf wackestone in the Gillberga Formation of Sweden.
