Taxonomy
Anomia bipartita was named by Brocchi (1814). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Hemithyris bipartita by Sacco (1902); it was recombined as Aphelesia bipartita by Cooper (1959), Gaetani and Sacca (1985), Bitner and Martinell (2001), Bitner and Moissette (2003), Bitner and Dulai (2004), García Ramos (2005), Dulai (2016) and Giannetti et al. (2018).
