Taxonomy
Liotrigonia was named by Cox (1952) [Sepkoski's age data: J Sine J Plie-u Sepkoski's reference number: 93]. It is not extant. Its type is Trigonia lingonensis.

It was assigned to Trigoniidae by Cox (1952); to Trigonioida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Myophoriidae by Ros-Franch et al. (2014).
