Taxonomy
Paryphella transversa was named by Liao (1982). Its type specimen is NIGP 71153 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Longtan Section ACT913, Nanjing City, which is in a Changhsingian deep-water mudstone in the Dalong Formation of China.
