Taxonomy
Neoaganides meitianensis was named by Zheng (1984). Its type specimen is NIGP 64959 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chetou, ACN234, Meitian, Yinzhang County, which is in a Changhsingian marine horizon in the Upper Coal Series Formation of China.
