Protosuchus richardsoni

Taxonomy
Archaeosuchus richardsoni was named by Brown (1933). Its type specimen is AMNH 3024, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Protosuchus holotype, Dinosaur Canyon, NE of Cameron, which is in a Rhaetian/Hettangian terrestrial sandstone in the Moenave Formation of Arizona.

It was recombined as Protosuchus richardsoni by Brown (1934), Colbert and Mook (1951), Charig (1967), Nesbitt (2011), Nascimento and Zaher (2011), Bronzati et al. (2012) and Sertich and O'Connor (2014).
