Taxonomy
Ammonites binus was named by Sowerby (1815) [Distribution: Lower Upper Albian]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Hysteroceras binum by Spath (1922), Spath (1934), Haas (1942), Reyment (1955) and Szives (2007).
