Taxonomy
Trachydomia magna was named by Hayasaka (1937). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kinshozan, Kuro zone, Akasaka, Gifu Prefecture, which is in a Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Akasaka Formation of Japan.
It was recombined as Trachyspira magna by Nützel and Nakazawa (2012).
