It was recombined as Shaleria (Shaleria) ornatella by Davidson (1871), Musteikis and Cocks (2004); it was recombined as Shaleria ornatella by Caster (1939); it was recombined as Shaleria (Janiomya) ornatella by Rubel (2011), Hoel (2011).
