Taxonomy
Almites pavlovi was named by Leonova (1982). Its type specimen is PIN 3591/117 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Igrimiyuz Creek, Sample 121/17, Pamir Mountains, which is in a Kungurian marine horizon in the Kochusu Formation of Tajikistan.
