Gryposuchus colombianus
Taxonomy
Gavialis colombianus was named by Langston (1965). Its type specimen is UCMP 41136, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Coyaima 7, which is in a Laventan terrestrial sandstone/claystone in Colombia.
It was recombined as Gryposuchus colombianus by Langston (1965), Langston and Gasparini (1997), Riff and Aguilera (2008), Riff et al. (2010), Puértolas et al. (2011) and Salas-Gismondi et al. (2016).
