Remondella gabbii
Taxonomy
Clypeaster gabbii was named by Rémond (1863). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is M1186 - Bear Lake Section, which is in a Miocene marine sandstone/conglomerate in the Bear lake Formation of Alaska.
It was recombined as Scutella gabbi by Merriam (1899), Kew (1915), Clark and Twitchell (1915) and Kew (1920); it was recombined as Echinarachnius gabbi by Stefanini (1911); it was recombined as Echinarachnius gabbii by Grant and Hertlein (1938); it was recombined as Remondella gabbii by Durham (1955).
