Taxonomy
Pernopecten terukoae was named by Nakazawa (2007). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ichihashi Quarry, Kinshozan, Akasaka, which is in a Capitanian shallow subtidal packstone in the Akasaka Formation of Japan.
