Scotospongia aculeata
Taxonomy
Scotospongia aculeata was named by Krainer and Mostler (1992). It is not extant. Its type locality is Weisse Wand, Karavanke Mountains, which is in a Fassanian basinal (carbonate) limestone in the Loibl Formation of Austria. It is the type species of Scotospongia.
