Athabascasaurus
Taxonomy
Athabascasaurus was named by Druckenmiller and Maxwell (2010). Its type is Athabascasaurus bitumineus.
It was assigned to Ophthalmosauria by Druckenmiller and Maxwell (2010); to Platypterygiinae by Fischer et al. (2012) and Arkhangelsky and Zverkov (2014); to Ophthalmosaurinae by Robert et al. (2014); and to Ophthalmosauridae by Fischer et al. (2011), Fischer et al. (2013) and Ji et al. (2016).
It was assigned to Ophthalmosauria by Druckenmiller and Maxwell (2010); to Platypterygiinae by Fischer et al. (2012) and Arkhangelsky and Zverkov (2014); to Ophthalmosaurinae by Robert et al. (2014); and to Ophthalmosauridae by Fischer et al. (2011), Fischer et al. (2013) and Ji et al. (2016).
