Taxonomy
Peia jurongensis was named by Li (2009). Its type specimen is BMNHC PVF141 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Qingshan quarry, Jurong, which is in a Smithian carbonate limestone in the Qinglong Formation of China.
