Taxonomy
Aviculopecten morahensis was named by Waagen (1881). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Morah, Middle Productus-limestone, Salt Range (Wynne coll), which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Wargal Formation of Pakistan.
