Calmonia was named by Clarke (1913) [Sepkoski's age data: D Emsi-l D Emsi-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1106]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Phacopida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Calmoniidae by Jell and Adrain (2003).
