Taxonomy
Cancer antennaria was named by Stimpson (1856). It is extant.

It was recombined as Cancer (Romaleon) antennarius by Nations (1975); it was recombined as Romaleon antennarius by Schweitzer and Feldmann (2000); it was recombined as Romaleon antennarium by Schweitzer et al. (2010), Luque et al. (2017), Schweitzer and Feldmann (2019).
