Taxonomy
Estlandia was named by Schuchert and Cooper (1931). Its type is Orthisina marginata.

It was assigned to Estlandiidae by Alikhova (1953); to Gonambonitinae by Rubel (1963); to Orthida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Gonambonitidae by Williams et al. (2000) and Zuykov and Hints (2002).
