Tapirus oliverasi (tapir)

Taxonomy
Tapirus oliverasi was named by Ubilla (1983). Its type specimen is MNA-CPO 183, a mandible (Right mandible fragment with m1-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Arroyo Miguelete, which is in a Pleistocene terrestrial horizon in the Libertad Formation of Uruguay.
