Cardium pygmaeum

Taxonomy
Cardium pygmaeum was named by Hisinger (1837). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Porkuni, Siuge Member, which is in a Porkuni perireef or subreef lime mudstone/chert in the Ă„rina Formation of Estonia.

It was recombined as Pleurorhynchus pygmaea by Barrande (1881); it was recombined as Conocardium pygmaea by Branson (1942); it was recombined as Hippocardia pygmaea by Pojeta and Runnegar (1976); it was recombined as Pojetaconcha pygmaea by Wagner (2023).
