Taxonomy
Anazyga was named by Davidson (1882) [Sepkoski's age data: O Cara-l O Cara-u Sepkoski's reference number: 683]. It is the type genus of Anazyginae, Anazygidae.

It was assigned to Atrypida by Sepkoski (2002); to Anazyginae by Williams et al. (2002); and to Zygospirinae by Zhan and Jin (2005).
