Ammonites arnoldi was named by Pictet and Campiche (1860). It is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Neocomites arnoldi by Wippich (2003); it was recombined as Neohoploceras arnoldi by Reboulet (1996), Aguirre-Urreta (1998) and Klein (2005).
