Mortoniceras gainesana

Taxonomy
Pervinquieria gainesana was named by Anderson (1958). Its type specimen is UCMP 14940, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is North Fork of Cottonwood Creek, above Hulen Creek, which is in a Cenomanian marine siliciclastic in California.

It was recombined as Mortoniceras gainesana by Murphy and Rodda (1960).
