Taxonomy
Quadratirhynchia crassimedia was named by Buckman (1917). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ilminster (Marlstone Rock-bed, GSM), which is in a Spinatum carbonate limestone in the Marlstone Rock Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was synonymized subjectively with Quadratirhynchia quadrata by Alméras and Fauré (2000).
