Taxonomy
Scalenodon attridgei was named by Crompton (1972). Its type specimen is BMNH R8578, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is U2, next to Peramiko-Litumba dirt road, which is in an Anisian fluvial siliciclastic in the Manda Beds Formation of Tanzania.
