Taxonomy
Dimerocrinites was named by Phillips (1839) [Sepkoski's age data: S Ldov-u D Eife]. It is not extant. Its type is Dimerocrinites decadctylus. It is the type genus of Dimerocrinitidae.

It was assigned to Dimerocrinitidae by Ausich (1998); and to Diplobathrida by Sepkoski (2002).
