Taxonomy
Dimerocrinites was named by Phillips (1839) [Sepkoski's age data: S Ldov-u D Eife]. It is not extant. Its type is Dimerocrinites decadactylus. It is the type genus of Dimerocrinitidae.

It was assigned to Diplobathrida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Dimerocrinitidae by Ausich (1998), Ausich and Copper (2010) and Ausich and Cournoyer (2019).
