Taxonomy
Cyathocrinites was named by Miller (1821) [Sepkoski's age data: S Wenl C Vise-u]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Cyathocrinitidae.

It was assigned to Cyathocrinitidae by Campbell and Bein (1971); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
