Saurorhynchus brevirostris
Taxonomy
Belonorhynchus brevirostris was named by Woodward (1895). Its type specimen is BMNH 40726, a skull, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Lyme Regis, Lower Lias unspecified (BMNH), which is in a Sinemurian marine horizon in the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Acidorhynchus brevirostris by Wenz (1967) and Delsate (1997); it was recombined as Saurorhynchus brevirostris by Kogan (2016) and Maxwell and Stumpf (2017).
