It was recombined as Palaeocorystes stokesii by Bell (1863); it was recombined as Notopocorystes stokesii by Tucker (1998), Schweitzer et al. (2010); it was recombined as Notopocorystes stokesi by van Straelen (1936), Schweitzer et al. (2009), Karasawa et al. (2014), Schweitzer et al. (2018).
